Introduction to Jesus Week!!
We will be watching the video "Jesus" as an introduction to this unit.
We will focus on the qualities that Jesus has and how he continues to challenge us today. We will also begin a special focus on the Beatitudes and how we can relate to them in our own lives.

The Message
This week we will continue our closer look at the Beatitudes. We will ask the question, "How are the Beatitudes an extension of the 10 Commandments?" As well, we will investigate the concept of virtues and how we can become virtuous people in the eyes of God. We will also look at the challenges that all people face that turn them away from Jesus' message.

March 22 - 26
This week we will be wrapping up our discussion of the beatitudes with the concept of friendship. What is the difference between an acquaintance and a true friend? How does Jesus's message strive to help you to be a better friend?
March 29 - April 1
This week we will be taking a closer look at the road blocks that teenagers are faced with every day. We will see how discrimination can deter us from our sprirtual path and how our concept of ourselves (body image) can support us in our spiritual growth as we appreciate the gifts that God has given us.
